Wildfire Prediction

Wildfires pose a serious threat to ecosystems, property, and human lives. Accurately predicting the location of these wildfires is a critical challenge for many countries, especially as climate change increases their frequency and intensity.


Traditional models, such as the CFWI (Canadian Fire Weather Index), have long been used to forecast fire risk, but they often fail to pinpoint high-risk areas with precise geographic detail. For example, the CFWI was not able to highlight the specific area where the Mariapeel wildfire occurred in the Netherlands, potentially limiting the preparedness and response efforts in the region.
